Modern Mexican accents, iconic details and clean minimal design characterize the suites’ renovation project at Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta where color and creativity infuse the suites with a typical yet contemporary Mexican charm.
Colorful & Playful
The initial challenges presented by the task, such as retaining the original basic structures and flooring are overcome by drawing attention towards playful eclectic details such as the brightly painted mirror frame, colorful table and fridge, as well as vivid upholstery for a distinctively Mexican pop-art feel.
Details, such as the paintings featuring distorted images of Frida Kahlo, the cushions and chairs that play with the idea of the multi-colored Mexican serapes and the typical cacti, breathe life into the suites.
The youthful touches continue into the bedroom, although respecting a more minimal style for a fresher, more tranquil atmosphere. No less engaging, the bedroom design aims to create a more harmonious atmosphere conducive to a good night’s sleep.
